Washington DC, Virginia, Maryland which school district is best?

Postby WoodyJessie1 » Sun Aug 28, 2016 3:48 am

Hello there
my husband found a job in Washington DC and I will be moving soon to that area (Maryland or Virginia ) from CA.
I would appreciate if you could share the most suitable public school district that is prepared and used to mainstream a low functioning 13 years old autistic boy. He's usually mainstreamed in a typical classroom with an ABA aide as he is very kind and non-disruptive, although the curriculum is broken down significantly he is able to participate fully at his own level in every subject. Which school district in your opinion is able to reproduce positively this kind of placement?
I would appreciate any help, I do not know the area at all.
Many thanks

I live in Harford County, Maryland, and I would avoid this school district. While the district is good for neurotypical kids, autism and ADHD kids don't get what they deserve.
