Welcome to the AutismWeb Forum, a helpful and courteous community of people interested in autism spectrum disorders.

Registration: At the top of the page, there is a place to register and log in. You do not have to register in order to read messages, but you must register if you wish to post or search the board. In registering, you decide how much information to provide. You can set your profile so that some or no information about you can be viewed by others. By registering, you agree that you have read all rules, terms and conditions and are able to understand and follow them. We recommend that you do NOT use your real first and last names in your user name.

If you have trouble registering, or if your registration is not confirmed within 24 hours, please email autismweb(at) Do not set up multiple user names if an account is not working properly. This is not allowed. You can change a user name on your account, but do not create more than one account.

BOARD RULES: We value a friendly and courteous community. Debate is welcome, but we do not allow name-calling, hate speech, profanity, personal attacks and insults, slander, threats, multiple user accounts, or spamming. We have set up word censors to prevent profanities. Do not attempt to get around the censors.

We do not permit potentially slanderous posts against private individuals using their real names or close approximations.

We do not permit people or companies to use the board to advertise, market or promote products, services and businesses, personal fund-raising campaigns or business fund-raising campaigns. We don't permit the use of anonymous proxy services, which are a tool of spammers and marketers.

Posts that violate these rules may be deleted, or edited. Consider it a warning if your post has been deleted or edited by us, or if we have asked you to edit a post.

Members who violate the rules may have their posting privileges suspended temporarily, or revoked permanently, without warning or appeal. Sanctions are up to board moderators and are judged based upon the number and/or severity of the infraction(s).

Abusive or threatening communications to board administrators and moderators will result in immediate suspensions or bans.

Any information gleaned from this web site should be discussed with professionals who know your child. We cannot determine the truthfulness of any information posted here. Full disclaimer:
