Coconut Whipping Cream

Postby ratna » Fri Mar 21, 2008 7:13 pm

Today I tried making Coconut whipping cream and It tasted very close to real whipping cream. Here is the recipe if anybody wants alternatives for whipping cream.

Ingredients:

Coconut Cream 1cup
Powder sugar 1/4 cup or to taste
Vanilla I tsp

Prior to making keep the bowl and beaters in the freezer for atleast 4 hours.Keep the coconut cream can in the refrigerator.Take out the can from the refrigerator after it is chilled.Take out all the cream from the top of the can without shaking.we don't use the liquid at the bottom.whip the cream and other ingredients until the soft peaks stage.

You can make other flavors by using cinnamon, chocolate, coffee etc like regular whipping cream.

Hi ratna,

When you say coconut cream do you mean coconut milk? I do have a can of coconut milk. Would that work?

Hi mary anne,

I made it with coconut cream. But I think you can make it with coconut milk also. You keep the milk in the refrigerator for few hours and take out all the cream on the top of the can without shaking it.Then follow the rest of the recipe.Let me know how it comes.
