The Best French Onion Soup Ever - GAPS and SCD Legal

Take about a 1/2 cup to a cup of ghee in a large pot on medium heat.
Take 2 large white onions, slice into thin rings.
Saute the onion rings in the ghee on medium high heat until they are very soft and starting to carmelize.
Add 2 tsp of black pepper or to taste.
Pour in 1 1/2 quarts of beef or bone broth.
Bring to a boil. Once it begins to boil, reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer an hour or more or until ready to eat.

I don't care for onions and I found this soup very good. Both of my sons loved it.
