This is our first attempt of a road trip. We are stressed out about the snacks. DS is not on any specific diet, we do avoid McD style junk food, so I wonder if anybody has any suggestion for road trips snacks.

DS just turned 5, does not eat
- any nuts or dry fruits.
- sandwiches
- Sliced raw Celery, carrot etc.
- Cheese

My current thoughts are
- Sliced apples, Grapes, Banana
- Pretzels
- Fruit snack (http://www.anorganicwife.com/2013/01/re ... nacks.html)
- Roasted Seeweed (First attempt)
- Yogurt

Many thanks in advance.

I just saw this, and am curious about how your trip went with the snacks. My son also did not eat the same stuff on your list at age 5-still doesn't eat any sandwiches, or cheese, but will eat plain buns...
and now will eat raw veggies, some nuts, quite a bit of fruit including watermelon and pears, nectarines, and plums, strawberries, tons of blueberries.

He just tried seaweed and liked it, but only at Costco lol

Only fruits mentioned above. Yogurt at a times. All of us hated seaweed.

I got 'organic' lollipops from Amazon. Each lollipop kept him busy for at least 30 minutes :)
