Preparing for my son's first neurology appointment. Have read and understand enough to know we need 24hr unmedicated EEG. Wondering if this will be hard to get/ will we encounter resistance to provide this variety of test and if so, what evidence or preparation can help to persuade them to let us do this.
My son has never had obvious seizures but am worried about nonobvious ones. Have plenty of video evidence of what I believe may be examples (hard blinking/ the "shakes"), just trying to prepare and not have yet another painful and disappointing experience with medical professionals- at least do what I can. Am researching on my own but any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Just say that he has staring spells (absence seizures) and wakes up in the middle of the night screaming (nocturnal seizures). Nocturnal seizures may exist without any signs.
