Sleep

Postby jugglerjp » Wed Sep 20, 2017 1:58 pm

My toddler can never self soothe and sleep. I need to hold her, pat her etc etc. She is 2.5 and non verbal. What can I do to help. At the end of the day i'm tired after work and I cannot hold her for around an hour and pat till she sleeps. When she is sleepy, she runs like crazy, rolls on the floor etc. Never once I saw her lie down and go to sleep. Please suggest what to do.

Any specific brand for melatonin?
I've heard that if you use it then the body gets used to it and you end up needing it so the ability to produce your own is reduced... did this happen to your boy?
How about those sour cherries supplement ?

I use source naturals orange flavored melatonin. I dont like melatonin because it only helps to fall asleep and works for the first half of the night. I give it only when my son is too active before bed and makes noises. He goes to bed at abput 8:30 to 9. If he doesnt fall asleep before 9:30 to 10, I give him melatonin. But I give 500mg of Taurine before bed each day and that is really what makes my son sleep through the night. Before Taurine, he will wake up the whole family at about 4am and we all stay awake. He is 8 now.

Taurine is good for us. also need to make sure yeast is under control. When my son's yeast goes up he will get up between 3-5 am and laugh

Taurine is a must honestly, I cant praise this enough, its very cheap and effective.
Best to get bulk powder, almost tasteless so it will mix well with a drink.

Taurine is so good for us. I have been taking it for almost 3 months. It helps to calm the brain down and have a good night's sleep. It is good for anxiety too and some types of seizure.
