What other symptoms does he have? How are his poops? Does he have a rash? His bottom, is it red around his anus? The laughing or peeling toes is the first sign of yeast we get. THen usually soon after we get the rash, icky poos and the rest of the fun stuff!

Ruth,
If he's gotten better by using the GSE, I would assume it's either bacteria or yeast.....maybe both.
Gavin did the laughing for such a long time that I had thought he was just a happy kid. But then his therapist would say, "Well what's he laughing at?" And I'd watch and watch and look for something that would make him laugh. Most of the times, it was nothing. I never really noticed how "odd" the laughing was until he stopped doing it with the nystatin and GFCF diet.
Goodluck!

My son used to laugh on occasion during his sleep... I never thought anything of it...I just thought he was having a funny dream...It's only been like a couple of times.....

Now after reading this I'm starting to wonder...
