Dental Care for Children with ASD Research Study

Postby awarbrij » Sun Jan 25, 2015 6:36 pm

Hi my name is Amanda Brijlall

I am a dental student at the Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine.
I am working on a research survey to assess the barriers to dental care for children with Autism Spectrum disorder with Dr. Robert Schindel and Dr. Sara Sullivan.

In order to create significant data we need to have a large sample size. Therefore, it is imperative that we try to get as many participants as possible to take the survey.

We are looking to distribute the survey to caregivers of children who have any Autism Spectrum Disorder, ages 0-18 years old.
The way we would like to distribute the online survey is either to 1. Get access to email addresses and then directly email caregivers, 2. Have caregivers get to the online survey via the research page at Autismspeaks.org, or 3. Give the link to Autism associated schools/centers and have the program directors at those sites send out the link to the caregivers.

Please help us facilitate dental care to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders by getting involved with our research survey in one of the three aforementioned ways.
