The Elephant In The Playroom - Denise Brodey

Postby mmesmama » Sat Jul 14, 2007 12:04 pm

This is a collection of essays from parents and siblings whose children have a variety of special needs (although Autism and related disorders were most prevelant).

I really liked this book, it was open and honest about a whole host of topics. Some of the essays were positive and left that fuzzy feel good feeling and some were not (reality) but I believe it was a real representation of what families deal with on a regular basis. Definitely gave me that - "you are not alone" feeling.
