Not Just Spirited (book on Sensory Processing Disorder)

Postby HamsterLady » Sat Jan 23, 2010 9:40 am

I was lucky enough to be given a copy of "Not Just Spirited: A Mom's Sensational Journey With Sensory Processing Disorder" by Chynna Laird. So, on my blog I have an interview with the author and a chance to win a copy of the book.

Overall, I was very impressed with the book. I'm an autistic person, so I couldn't relate to the parent but I liked the advice of different things that worked/didn't work and the honest story. Some books worry me because they promote unsafe treatments, but everything suggested in the book is 100% safe. Also, this book is about a girl with severe Sensory Processing Disorder but is helpful for anybody dealing with sensory issues.
