"The Loving Push" NEW book by Drs. Temple Grandin and Debra Moore

Postby drdmoore » Tue Jan 12, 2016 3:50 pm

I've had the great honor of coauthoring "The Loving Push" with Temple Grandin and it has just been released (December 2015). The book profiles 8 teens and adults (using real names and photos) and uses their stories (and Temple's) to illustrate how to prepare our children for successful transition to adulthood. Unfortunately, many of our kids are languishing and not reaching their full potential. They're growing up but not moving on.

Chapters include tips for harnessing hope, instilling vital life skills, combating anxiety, lack of motivation, compulsive video gaming or reclusiveness, and how to shift to a framework of proactive "loving pushes" so that children do not stagnate and fall through the cracks as they grow up.

Our hope is the book helps those on the spectrum, parents, and professionals.
